Ironworkers #495

logoIronworkers Local #495 was chartered on April 16, 1936, and it currently has over 350 members. Members benefit from being able to work with other skilled and qualified workers as a brotherhood and a team. The union also offers a three-year apprenticeship program along with ongoing and updated journeyman-upgrade courses.

The Competitive Difference
Hiring a member of Local #495 benefits a hiring manager or contractor because they would not have to seek out individuals on their own, which takes a lot of time and negotiation. By hiring union labor, the contractor can simply describe the class of worker they desire, and that’s what they receive. And these workers will have received up-to-date training and know current technology, thereby helping the project move faster and with fewer problems.
